Hari to retain original cast for 'Singam 2'

Its no longer news that Suriya - Anushka Shetty and Hansika Motwani will be coming together for 'Singam 2', a sequel to the 2010 super hit, 'Singam'. However it looks like Hari is hell bent in retaining the original cast from the film for the sequel.
The director who knows commercial cinema like the back of his hand has reportedly convinced 'Aachi' Manorama to be a part of the sequel as well. The ace actress was ill and underwent treatment recently, for various reasons. This film will now mark her comeback on big screen as she was last seen in 'Ponnar Shankar'.
The sequel will go on floors once Suriya wraps 'Maatraan' with KV Anand, the film is nearing its completion with just a couple of songs pending to be canned.

Singam 2' will boast off the same cast and crew but will see a few additions like Hansika Motwani and Santhanam. Buzz is that Hansika will play a school tot in this film.

Anushka is the heroine in 'Kochadaiyaan'?

Chennai: Southern actress Anushka Shetty is as busy in Tamil films as she is in Telugu. The buzz is that she may team up with superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming 3D film ‘Kochadaiyyan’.
‘Kochadaiyyan’ will be a hi-tech 3D film and will be the first with performance- capturing technology to be produced in India. James Cameron's mega hit ‘Avatar’ and Steven Spielberg's ‘The Adventures of Tin Tin’ were made with the same technology.

If Anushka signs on the dotted line, she will be doing her part in a sophisticated studio equipped with cameras that will capture her body language and later transfer them to animation.

Though there are no confirmed reports from those involved in the project, the team might soon come out with an official confirmation, says sources.

The project is the directorial debut of Rajinikanth's daughter, Soundarya, while K.S. Ravikumar, who has written the story, screenplay and dialogue, will be the directorial supervisor for ‘Kochadaiyyan’.
Right now, Anushka is busy with director Vijay's Tamil action movie ‘Thaandavam’, which will see her sharing screen space with Vikram. She is also doing a film with director Suraj and in this Karthi is her co-star. They are shooting for the film in Kerala right now.
